The US and Iran say they have reached an agreement to end the war that will be signed and take effect later this week.

The full text of the agreement has not yet been released.

President Donald Trump said the US was lifting its naval blockade on Iranian ports, and that the Strait of Hormuz will reopen once the framework is signed.

US Vice President JD Vance said he would be at the official signing on Friday 19 June in Switzerland and that Trump may also attend.
