
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The top-ranked most wanted person in Occidental Mindoro was arrested in Bulacan during a coordinated police operation on Sunday, June 14, authorities said.
The suspect was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, San Ildefonso, Bulacan through a joint manhunt conducted by the Calintaan Municipal Police Station, with support from the San Ildefonso and San Miguel police stations of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, and the Criminal Investigation Team of the Regional Investigation Division in Occidental Mindoro.

Police said the operation was based on a warrant for alleged violation of Article 266-A, paragraph 2, in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 11648, or sexual assault. The case, docketed as Criminal Case No. R-26-12828, carries a recommended bail of P200,000.

The suspect was also served two additional warrants for alleged violations of Section 10(a) of Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. The cases, docketed as Criminal Case Nos. R-26-12826 and R-26-12827, carry recommended bail of P80,000 each.
Authorities withheld the identity of the suspect in line with policies on cases involving sexual offenses and minors.
The arrested individual is now under the custody of the Calintaan Municipal Police Station while awaiting turnover to the issuing court. INQ
