Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara has pledged to uphold transparency in data on investment records as part of efforts to build investor confidence in the country’s prospects.
Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria conveyed the statement in response to a directive from President Prabowo Subianto to strengthen public awareness of Indonesia’s improving investment climate.
“The president has emphasized the importance of ensuring information disclosure. We have received a stern instruction to transparently convey all investment achievements and data to the public,” he said, as quoted from a statement here on Monday.
Oskaria made the remarks after a meeting with President Prabowo in Jakarta the previous day.
The COO, who also chairs the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN), described the executive order as part of the government’s broader push to attract investment surges without compromising project quality.
“This step forms part of the government’s commitment to strengthening investor confidence, fast-tracking the inflow of quality investments, and supporting sustainable growth for the national economy,” he affirmed.
President Prabowo convened a limited meeting at his Kertanegara residence in South Jakarta on Sunday night, summoning Oskaria and several aides, including Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, who also serves as CEO of Danantara.
Also present were Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia; Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa; Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto; State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi; and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Wijaya said in a post-meeting statement that the president received reports on growing international confidence in Indonesia’s investment climate and ongoing talks on potential strategic projects.
He added that Roeslani briefed the head of state on the outcome of his official trips to the United States and several countries in Europe and Asia.
“The report outlines valid data indicating rising international confidence in Indonesia, reflected in strong enthusiasm toward investment across various strategic national sectors,” Wijaya noted.
In response, the president urged Danantara to disclose details on the favorable investment trend to the public.
