Nartatez made this pronouncement a day after Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, a former PNP chief, said neither the Armed Forces of the Philippines nor the PNP would be affected by alleged destabilization schemes involving the 18 bagmen of resigned lawmaker Zaldy Co.
Co is a central figure in the flood control corruption scandal.
In response, Nartatez thanked Lacson for his statement, claiming it was a “vote of confidence.”
“His reassurance validates our current leadership’s focus on institutional integrity and our absolute loyalty to the Constitution and the chain of command,” Nartatez said.
“To our local units and every personnel on the ground, stay focused on your duties, dismiss these external noises, and let our discipline and professional service be our definitive response to these reported plots,” he added. /mr
