The Zamfara Information Technology Development Agency (ZITDA) has initiated discussions with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) on the registration and accreditation of the newly established Zamfara Institute of Information Technology (ZIIT), Gusau.
The agency’s Executive Secretary, Habib Gajam, disclosed this in a statement, saying the ZITDA delegation was received by the Special Adviser to the NBTE Executive Secretary, Dr Hassan Funsho, alongside directors in charge of New TVET Registration, Curriculum Development, and Polytechnic and Allied Programmes.
According to him, the agency presented the vision of ZIIT as a world-class institution focused on producing skilled information technology professionals, promoting innovation and driving digital transformation.
Gajam said the institute was strategically positioned to serve not only Zamfara State but also the wider North-West and northern region as a hub for technology and innovation.
