Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung attended the World Cities Summit (WCS) 2026 in Singapore from June 14 to 16, promoting Jakarta’s investment potential and strengthening international cooperation.
“Jakarta is open to investment in green financing and public-private partnerships to support urban cooling initiatives,” Pramono said, as quoted in an official statement received on Monday.
According to him, efforts to advance environmentally sustainable urban development require support from the global financial system.
The summit served as an important platform for Jakarta to strengthen collaboration with international partners and attract investment to support regional economic growth.
During the event, Pramono carried out two key responsibilities, representing Jakarta as Indonesia’s capital city and serving as Vice Chair of C40 Cities for East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.
His working visit to Singapore began with the C40 Mayoral Convening, which brought together city leaders from various countries.
Since being appointed by C40 Cities as Vice Chair for East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania in April 2026, the forum marked Pramono’s first official engagement in that role with global city leaders.
For Jakarta, participation in the World Cities Summit 2026 provided an opportunity to explore solutions to urban challenges and support the development of a more livable, environmentally sustainable, and competitive city.
