MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. Russia ranked second after the United States in terms of the value of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to the European Union in April, accounting for a 16.4% share, according to TASS calculations based on Eurostat data.
The European Union purchased approximately 705 mln euro worth of Russian LNG, up 35% compared with the same month last year.
The United States ranked first with its LNG supplies, accounting for 61% of the EU's LNG import value, or 2.6 bln euro.
