Zamfara suspends poly rector for alleged insubordination

The Zamfara State Government on Monday suspended the Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Dr. Sirajo Shinkafi, for alleged misconduct and insubordination.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada, stated that the suspension was with immediate effect.

Nakwada said the state government has decided to suspend the Rector to ensure the smooth running of the academic and other administrative procedures in the institution.

“The Government assures the Polytechnic community and the general public that measures have been put in place to ensure the uninterrupted administration of the institution,” the statement added.

Efforts to contact the suspended Rector proved abortive, as his phone number could not be reached at the time of filing this report.
