Toronto officer seriously injured attempting to stop driver of allegedly stolen vehicle in East York: police

A Toronto police officer and the driver of a vehicle that was allegedly stolen were both taken to hospital Monday morning after the driver attempted to flee a traffic stop on Leaside Bridge, police say. One suspect is still outstanding and the Special Investigations Unit has invoked its mandate.
