American singer Oliver Tree is among the six victims of a collision between two helicopters on Sunday morning (14) in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in Rio de Janeiro’s southwest area. The musician was on an international tour.
He had performed in São Paulo on the 6th, at Studio Stage, a concert venue in Lapa, in the city’s west side. In recent days, he posted several videos wearing the Brazilian national team jersey, including scenes recorded in a favela, such as playing soccer, eating barbecue, getting a haircut and riding a motorcycle.
The singer was accompanied by Brazilian music producer and DJ Lucas Frota, who is based in the United States, Argentine influencer Gaspi —who has 2.8 million followers on YouTube alone— and Argentine filmmaker Lucas Vignale, who competed in a section of this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
The group was heading to Angra dos Reis, on Rio de Janeiro state’s coast. The aircraft was piloted by Alexandre Souza, who also died.
