E-fund transfer ready for Expanded Centenarians Act beneficiaries

MANILA, Philippines — The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) on Monday announced that qualified grantees of the Expanded Centenarians Act (ECA) may now receive their cash gifts through digital means.

Under the ECA, seniors who reach ages 80, 85, 90, and 95 receive a cash gift of P10,000, while those who reach 100 receive P100,000.

Below is the step-by-step guide on how these qualified seniors can receive their gifts through digital or electronic means:

Visit the official NCSC website (https://www.ncsc.gov.ph/expandedcentenariansact) to download the updated Claim Form, or get a copy from your local Office for Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) or Local Social Welfare and Development Office (LSWDO).

Fill out the form carefully, ensuring that all required information is accurate and that you have complete documents proving your age and Filipino identity.

Select preferred payment method by checking the appropriate option on the Claim Form: Valid bank account; Landbank accoun; Verified GCash accoun; Palawan Pawnshop or Palawan Express

If choosing a bank account, attach a bank-verified deposit slip. If choosing GCash, attach a printed screenshot of your profile information. If choosing Palawan Pawnshop, only your mobile phone number is required (note: The selected bank or GCash account must be under the name of the ECA grantee)

Submit the completed form to your OSCA or LSWDO together with the following requirements: PSA birth certificate, National ID, or digital NCSC IDl; One whole-body photograph; Bank-verified deposit slip or printed screenshot of your GCash profile information

According to the NCSC, applicants will know if their application is approved through a phone notification or call from NCSC Regional Office.

However, the NCSC stressed that applicants must ensure that the contact number they provided is active and reachable so they can receive updates.

The NCSC also reminded grantees to make sure that their chosen bank account or GCash account remains active. /cb
