Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Monday joined a high-profile endorsement rally in Ebonyi State, expressing support for President Bola Tinubu and calling for stronger cooperation among progressive political actors.
Addressing a large crowd of supporters in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Soludo described his participation as a “solidarity visit,” noting the growing alignment among progressive forces across the country.
This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.
Soludo, who stood alongside his host, Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, whom he described as “my own brother,” reaffirmed his commitment to collaborative governance and national unity.
“I am here on a solidarity march with my own brother, the Rt. Hon. Governor of Ebonyi State, who, by the grace of God, is governor until 2031.
“I am here in solidarity with you because today, you are endorsing the President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“I have come in solidarity because progressives are working together. It is time for progressives to unite”, he said.
Acknowledging prevailing national challenges, the governor expressed optimism in the Federal Government’s efforts to address economic and social issues.
He also indicated that his party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, would soon take a formal position aimed at strengthening a broader progressive coalition in the country.
In a message directed at Ndị Igbo, Soludo urged a shift in political strategy from grievance-based politics to pragmatic engagement.
“I say to ụmụnne m ndị Igbo, enough of the politics of lamentations. We must now move from the alliance of protest to the alliance for progress—an alliance and partnership for prosperity for Ndigbo. We must now unite as Ndigbo; we must not waste our votes again,” he said.
The rally ended with renewed commitments to support the President’s vision for national development and political cooperation across party lines.
