The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda has described insinuations that President Bola Tinubu will ensure the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) victory in Ebonyi, as “false”.
Yilwatda dismissed the insinuation on Monday in Abakaliki during a grand rally organised by the APC in Ebonyi, to endorse Tinubu for second tenure in the 2007 general elections.
The national chairman was reacting to concerns raised by Gov. Francis Nwifuru that Ebonyi PDP leaders were boasting that the “Minister of the Federal Capital Territory” influenced the insinuated decision.
“President Tinubu can never allow PDP win Ebonyi as this is the greatest fabrication in history. No decision as such was discussed anywhere and can ever be. The opposition has no place in Ebonyi and there is no vacancy for them anywhere in the state,” he said.
He urged party faithful and Ebonyi people, to stand firm with their leaders saying Tinubu had impacted greatly on the state and entire South-East geo-political zone.
“You should have emotional sympathy for the president as he has saddled one of you with the responsibility of fixing the zone’s age-long problem of bad roads.
Gov. Francis Nwifuru in his address, said the rally was to thank Tinubu for all he had done for Ebonyi and declare to the whole world that he was the people’s choice for the presidency.
Nwifuru said that Tinubu’s works in the state were practical, visible and have great impact on the people.NAN
