Don’t put away the umbrella just yet.
According to a post shared by the popular Facebook weather page ‘Aġġornament tat-Temp’, the remnants of a storm that recently affected Tunisia have pushed rain clouds close to the Maltese Islands, with the possibility of showers expected today.
The page noted that while a few rain showers are likely, it remains difficult to predict whether the cloud system will intensify further as it moves through the region.
“The indication is that conditions should improve by around 11am,” the page said, while cautioning that weather systems of this nature can be difficult to forecast accurately.
As always with fast-changing weather patterns, conditions could shift depending on how the cloud activity develops over the coming hours.
So if you’re heading out this morning, it may be worth keeping an umbrella close by, just in case.
