Cathy Babao, daughter of veteran actress Caridad Sanchez, shared that she has begun her chemotherapy as part of her battle with breast cancer.
Babao, a writer and grief coach, showed herself at the hospital for her chemotherapy sessions through her Instagram page on Monday, June 15.
“Chemo days begin early in our home. It’s a cycle that repeats every 14 days now,” she said. “There is a quick breakfast lovingly prepared by my husband, who also happens to be a nurse, followed by the familiar ritual of checking my chemo bag.”

She further detailed the routine she does during her hospital visits, also making mention of her medical team whom she trusts with her life.
“I close my eyes and wake up a couple of hours later. Another cycle done. Another hurdle crossed,” she stated.
“Cancer has taught me many things, but perhaps the most important is this: to pay attention,” she noted. “To rest when my body asks for rest. To accept stillness without guilt. To find joy in small things—a good cup of coffee, a funny text message, a grandchild’s laugh, a page written, a prayer answered.”
Babao then expressed her appreciation for the people who have been extending their prayers for her healing.

“Cancer changes you. It is hard. There is no way around that. But my hope is that when I emerge from this season, I will be gentler, wiser, more grateful, and more fully alive and filled with joy than ever before,” she said.
“For now, the Pink Ninja moves forward the only way she knows how: one cycle at a time, one prayer at a time, one grace at a time,” she concluded.
