MANILA, Philippines – Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) said it had restored access to its mobile banking app after a fresh service disruption on Tuesday afternoon caused by network connectivity issues.
In an advisory issued as of 3 p.m., BPI said the outage affected its mobile and online banking channels, although branch services, automated teller machines (ATMs), and in-store card transactions remained fully operational.

While access to the mobile app has been restored, BPI warned that users may still experience slower response times as transaction volumes remain elevated and services are gradually brought back online.
Some app functionalities remain temporarily unavailable as part of efforts to stabilize the system, although core features such as account viewing and transaction history are already accessible.
BPI assured clients that all account balances, personal information, and records remain intact and secured.
The latest disruption came after the bank earlier announced the restoration of its digital banking services at around 6 a.m. Tuesday following a separate outage that began on June 14.
The bank said its teams continue to monitor system performance as it works to fully normalize services. /pai INQ
