World Cup fever has taken hold, and if this year's tournament has reignited your love for soccer here's another way to indulge your obsession: Lego's World Cup range, which is full of Lego's trademark thoughtful touches and clever Easter eggs. I'm especially enamored with the World Cup ball set, which pops open to reveal an entire micro stadium hidden inside. The brick trophy set has a similarly fun surprise... and means that even if your country isn't victorious this year, you can still lift your own World Cup.

I'm slightly less sold on the 'supersized' Soccer Legend sets, which reimagine Ronaldo and Messi in brick form. Perhaps I'm just used to Lego 'humans' being in Minifigure form, but there's something about those smooth Lego pecs and curvy calves that I find very unsettling. I do like that the models are posable though — Messi in his iconic celebration pose, and Ronaldo performing his jaw-dropping bicycle kick.
