Former Sporting Lisbon and Manchester
United boss Ruben Amorim is AC Milan's new coach after signing a
contract with the seven-time European champions for the next two
seasons.
The Serie A giants announced the news saying the Portuguese
tactician had a modern and attack-minded approach.
The Rossoneri did not specify the duration of the contract.
"Over the course of his career, Amorim has developed a modern
and attacking tactical approach, supported by solid game
organization, demonstrating a unique ability to nurture young
talents and guide them on their development journey," said the
Milanese club.
The 41-year-old from Lisbon had been out of work since being
fired by United in January.
Amorim is replacing Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked after a
slump in form in the latter stages of the last campaign saw
Milan fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Former Juve boss Allegri has taken over at Napoli after former
Italy boss Antonio Conte left the Partenopei, with a two-year
contract for the Livorno-born tactician.
