Tom Holland Finally Confirms Zendaya Wedding
Following the clues to find out whether Zendaya and Tom Holland really got married turned into quite the odyssey.
But, thanks to Holland, that journey is finally over.
More than three months after Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach said the couple's wedding had "already happened," the British actor acknowledged those top-secret nuptials occurred, albeit in a fashion befitting the newlyweds' historic insistence that their private life is the last thing they want to talk about in public.
"Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," Holland told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. "We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."
But auditioning for 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming is what brought them together, their chemistry read to play the titular Marvel superhero and his cool AF crush MJ going better than your average costar meeting. Though how well it went wasn't known for sure—as they denied being more than best friends and even dabbled in dating others—until they were spotted kissing far from set in July 2021.
That wasn't how they envisioned being found out, Holland telling GQ not long afterward, "We sort of felt robbed of our privacy.” Zendaya concurred, calling it "quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive," since being in love was "something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other.”

So, after they attended the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere together in December 2021, they steered clear of red carpets until June 15, when they posed in Spain while promoting their fourth MCU pairing.
Spider-Man: A Brand New Day, indeed.
And, with lots of attention coming their way for that presumable blockbuster, in theaters July 31, as well as for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, out July 17, there was no time like the present for Holland to clear up the are-they-or-aren't-they speculation about their marital status.
Asked whether any friends and family (other than his granny) were confused by AI-generated wedding pics that made the rounds, Holland told Esquire, "No, because they were all there."
He added, "That's all you'll get on that." And...scene.
Of course, his and Zendaya's reluctance to speak on their partnership has done absolutely nothing to quell curiosity about what makes the dynamic duo tick, though it isn't exactly a secret as to why they want to spend every brand new day together forever.
"With anybody you're with," Zendaya told Cardi B in a 2018 chat for CR Fashion Book, "you have to have a layer of respect, courtesy, understanding, and tolerance. It's also important to have somebody who makes you laugh...And not just kind of laugh, but pee-my-pants laugh."
And the Euphoria alum appreciates that Holland understands what being an actor entails.

"There's just certain things in our lives that's hard for people to understand if they don't live it," the two-time Emmy winner noted. "Like if I have to explain what a call time is or why I have to start glam early. I'm not just sitting around all day."
Incidentally, Holland has also deemed sharing a profession to be "worth its weight in gold," marveling on Smartless in 2023, "I'm lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life."
And he obviously finds her "wonderful to work with," telling THR, "She's arguably the most talented person I've ever met. She's amazing."
He proposed over Christmas in 2024 and they subsequently got married some time before Roach informed the world in March that their big day had come and gone.
Not one for the drama, Zendaya let the simple gold band she was first spotted wearing in February do the talking. But she has since shared how she knew that Holland was her person.
Recalling that she was "pretty nervous" at that first Spider-Man chemistry read, he made her "feel calm," she said on the April 1 episode of the New York Times' Modern Love podcast," just by being a nice person, you know, by making me feel comfortable."
Now, the 29-year-old noted, “I don't feel nervous, I feel really peaceful and I feel really calm. And feel like, ‘Oh, I actually feel more nervous when I'm away from you than when I'm with you.’ And that's when I was like, ‘Ah, that's a good sign, that’s me listening to intuition.’”

Meanwhile, she gets that fans have a "parasocial investment" in her relationship with Holland, 30, not least because "we've grown up in front of people and we've done movies where we fall in love with each other."
But as “a very private person,” she added, “I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well.”
She and Holland weren't hiding, Zendaya stressed. Rather, they were maintaining certain boundaries, striving to “preserve things for ourselves so that we can maintain that joy just within ourselves and our loved ones and our family.”
And they didn't miss the wedding.
