Man Arrested in Dang After Posting Video of Assault on Woman; Illegal Drugs Also Seized

Kathmandu. A 24-year-old man from Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-02, Dang, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a young woman with a khukuri in a forested area about three months ago, recording the incident, and posting the video on social media on Tuesday evening at around 8:30 p.m.

Following the circulation of the video, a team from the Tulsipur Area Police Office took Ramesh Thada Magar into custody from his residence at around 10:40 p.m. the same night.

Police said illegal drugs were also recovered from Magar’s possession during the arrest, including 1 Pregamax tablet, 41 Trohmo tablets, two Anticop tablets and five Nitrazepam tablets.

During the same operation, police also detained 21-year-old Jibaraj Khatri of Tulsipur-02, Balapur, for further investigation.
