Coco Martin, Julia Montes dive into action in 'Sigabo' official trailer

ABS-CBN released the official trailer of the Coco Martin and Julia Montes-starrer “Sigabo” ahead of its June 22 premiere.

In the five-minute clip shared on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel, Martin and Montes gamely took on intense stunt scenes as their characters respectively faced dangerous missions.

Martin plays the role of Gabo, a devoted son and ex-convict who takes on a secret mission in exchange for his freedom. Montes, meanwhile, portrays Sam who is a lawyer and an investigative agent.

Their characters eventually cross each other’s paths, with the trailer teasing a love-hate relationship between them.

Aside from the real-life couple, other cast members featured in “Sigabo” are JC De Vera, JM De Guzman, Arci Muñoz, Sue Ramirez, Jhong Hilario, Edu Manzano, Carmi Martin, Chanda Romero, Irma Adlawan and Joey Marquez, among many others.

“Sobra akong proud na proud sa project na ito, kasi from ‘Probinsyano’ to Batang Quiapo’ talagang in-upgrade namin,” Martin said of the TV series, which is his first original concept.

“Sigabo” is set to premiere on June 22 at 8 p.m. on ABS-CBN via ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube and Facebook, and iWant.

Prior to its launch, the cast will be interacting with fans through a motorcade scheduled on June 18 in Cavite, June 20 in Palawan, and June 28 in Pampanga. /edv
