Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Creative Economy is encouraging young people to utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) to increase the added value of creative products and strengthen competitiveness in the digital era.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the challenge facing Indonesia's young generation is gaining access to technology that can create business opportunities and prepare them to compete globally.
"In line with President Prabowo's Asta Cita, the creative economy is becoming a new engine of national growth," said Harsya in a statement on Wednesday.
The ministry is collaborating with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Adobe through the ECHOES X GENSi program to raise awareness of the creative economy and strengthen young digital talent, particularly among students and young Indonesians.
The collaboration aims to equip young people with creative skills and the use of AI to enable them to produce value-added works, create business opportunities, and be ready to compete globally.
This collaboration also opens up opportunities for synergy with the Ministry of Creative Economy's three flagship programs for 2027: Creative Village Activation, Creative Hub Activation, and Creative by Indonesia, to encourage local heroes to go national and national champions to go global.
Harsya stated that ECHOES is a channel for introducing creative tools and AI-based learning to the younger generation.
"By combining the power of AI, creativity, and collaboration, we want to help the next generation of creators develop their full potential and make a real impact on themselves and their surrounding communities," said Vikram Sinha, President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
After successfully equipping more than 10,000 young Indonesians through digital literacy and creative learning programs, this year GENSi aims to reach 15,000 young people across Indonesia.
Ben Goodman, Adobe's President for Japan and the Asia Pacific (JAPAC), assessed that Indonesia has a large young population, a strong creative culture, and a strategic position in the development of technology and AI.
Adobe also supports this by providing technology, training, monetization opportunities, premium access to Adobe Express, and Adobe Digital Academy learning materials translated into Indonesian.
According to Ben, the partnership between Adobe, Indosat, and the Ministry of Creative Economy aims to ensure Indonesia is at the forefront of the global creative economy.
