Vans get the “Golden” treatment in a new “Kpop Demon Hunters” collection, which will drop in stores and online later this summer.
The release includes the beloved shoe brand’s top-selling sneakers – the Classic Slip-On, Old Skool, Old Skool V and Sk8-Hi — in a new golden colorway, nodding to the film’s Oscar-winning original song “Golden” — the first time a K-pop track has won in this category.
The partnership, in celebration of the film’s one-year anniversary, marks the second collaboration between the Netflix animated film and Vans. Last December, they released a collection splashed with images of the film’s girl group HUNTR/X, loyal guardians Derpy Tiger and Sussie and rival demon boy-band Saja Boys.
The newest Vans release is one of dozens of collaborations in celebration of the film’s one-year anniversary. Earlier this week, Lego released two new sets inspired by Derpy and Sussie Bird. Other new releases announced today include fashion and singing dolls from Mattel, Saja and Derpy Tiger Furblets from Hasbro, Squishmallows and a Derpy Tiger plush from Jazwares.
Bemyfriends, the global fandom company, is celebrating the one-year anniversary with a second, official “KPop Demon Hunters” merchandise pop-up that’s visiting cities around the world for the remainder of the year including Seoul, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Taipei, Frankfurt, Dubai, Los Angeles, Tokyo and more. The Korean skincare line Annua is also expanding their “Kpop Demon Hunters” collaboration with a new skincare line, alongside a new “Gonna Be Glowin’” campaign.
More “Kpop Demon Hunters” collections are set to be released later this week. In the meantime, shop Vans’ “Golden” collection below:
