
The Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Mrs Adetola Adunni Abubakar, on Wednesday celebrated the graduation of Cohort 2 trainees of the Agboyi-Ketu Tech Hub.
There, she also welcomed 100 Cohort 3 participants into the growing digital empowerment programme.
Members of Cohort 2 were presented with certificates at an event held at the Tech Hub located at Mascara, Ketu.
The chairman emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and self-development, encouraging participants to maximize the opportunities provided through the programme for personal and economic growth.
She also stated that the administration will continue to strengthen the Tech Hub through partnerships, mentorship, exposure and connect the youths to wider opportunities, promising to build a community where talents are discovered and ideas are developed.
Aniedi Ann Bello disclosed these in a Wednesday release shared with PUNCH Online on behalf of the council’s Public Affairs Unit.
“This initiative reflects our administration’s commitment to equipping our youths with relevant skills, creating opportunities, and preparing them for success in the digital economy.
“Congratulations to all our graduands, and best wishes to our new trainees as they begin this exciting journey,” the statement quoted the chairman as saying.

Certificates were presented to successful graduates, while outstanding trainees were recognised for their dedication.
The chairman also assured participants of continued support and stated that those who successfully complete the next phase would be considered for direct employment opportunities.
Past trainees shared testimonials on the impact of the programme.
The ceremony also marked the induction and enrollment of Cohort 3 trainees.
The co-ordinator of the event, Mr. Kunle Akhigbe, the Supervisor for ICT and Digital Economy, encouraged both the graduates and new intakes, reaffirming the council’s commitment to human capital development and community advancement.
He reiterated that “Digital skills are no longer optional, but are essential tools for economic independence and opportunities in today’s world.”
He however “commended the Executive Chairman for the initiative which is effectively building confidence, creativity and the capacity for Agboyi-Ketu youths to compete in the Digital Economy.”
The event was attended by key stakeholders in the community, the Leader of the Legislative House, Agboyi-Ketu, some members of the Executives, Management Staff, amidst others.
