RNZ's website has had a refresh - making it easier for you to find and enjoy the stories that matter most.
Rhonwyn Newson, RNZ's Executive Editor - Digital, says the refresh marks an important step in RNZ's digital transformation.
"We've modernised the experience while staying true to what audiences value most about RNZ - trusted journalism, strong storytelling and easy access to live and on-demand audio."
"We know audiences expect seamless digital experiences, whether they're reading a story, listening live or catching up on demand. These changes make RNZ easier to navigate, easier to listen to and easier to discover - while strengthening the connection between our journalism and the people we serve."
Our audience has given us feedback and we've listened, organising our news sections according to what resonates most. Politics, Education and Health have been joined by Emergencies, Personal Finance, Community and Regions. Grouping content into these sections helps users quickly zero in on what topic they're interested in and encourages deeper exploration of the breadth of the national coverage RNZ is known for.
We've also introduced:
A clearer navigation bar and easier to access live listening option
New content "lanes" that group related stories together
A dedicated live listening panel for radio and bulletins
The addition of uninterrupted audio access across our most frequently visited pages
A modern design aligned with RNZ's newer sections like Podcasts, Life and Video
The result is a site that's easier to explore and better connected - making RNZ's trusted journalism easier than ever to discover.
This is all part of RNZ's wider digital transformation, aimed at delivering a faster, more reliable and more engaging experience for its growing audience. We hope you enjoy the changes and welcome your feedback - which you can submit in our Audience Feedback section.
