
Kathmandu, June 18
The date for the Critics Film Awards, organised by the Film Critics Society of Nepal (FICSON), has been finalised. According to the Society, the award distribution ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 20.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Society announced that the ‘Critics Film Awards’ for the years 2081 and 2082 BS will be presented jointly on the same day. The Society has already made the results public, having selected the best creators across various categories based on microscopic study, technical analysis, and evaluation of the films released in 2081 and 2082 BS.
The main sponsor for the Critics Film Awards is Mahalaxmi Chakki Atta, with Annapurna Spiker and OSR Digital as co-sponsors. The Nepal Film Campus has also collaborated for the awards.

Best Director: Min Bahadur Bham (Shambhala)
Best Actor: Dayahang Rai (Gaun Aayeko Bato / A Road to a Village)
Best Actress: Thinley Lhamo (Shambhala)
Best Screenplay/Writing: Sarishma Khatri and Siddhartha Pudasaini (Sano Sansar)
Best Cinematography: Alok Shukla (Aakha)
Best Editing: J. Him Lee and Alex Gurvits (Rajagunj)
Best Sound Design: Kishor Acharya (Gaun Aayeko Bato / A Road to a Village)
Special Mention (Acting): Shupala Sapkota (Boksi Ko Ghar)
Special Mention (Art Direction): Roshan Diwana (Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi)
