Ciara Miller Reveals Why She Isn’t Quite Ready for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Debut Just Yet
Guillermo Rodriguez will tango with the Dancing With the Stars pros.
Jimmy Kimmel's right-hand man on Jimmy Kimmel Live! is set to salsa on Dancing With the Stars, joining Ciara Miller, Maura Higgins and the Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson as the latest cast member to be confirmed for season 35.
"I have a major announcement to make," Jimmy said during the June 17 episode of his late-night show before dropping some hints to viewers. "This person is someone you know, someone you love, he is someone we know quite well."
The comedian added, "The star who will be dancing, who will be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars is our very own Guillermo!"
The beloved sidekick then hilariously shimmied onto stage in a shiny blue dance costume. "Guillermo," Jimmy quipped, "will become the first-ever parking security guard to dance with the stars."
So, how does Guillermo feel about the opportunity? "I'm excited," he shared. "I'm very happy,” before his boss warned, "Don't lose a single adorable pound, okay? Do you promise?"
The 55-year-old replied, "I promise. If I lose 5 pounds, I'm gonna gain 10 pounds back right away."
Guillermo will be facing some stiff competition, as some cast members have begun preparing for the season. Ciara—fresh from the drama of the latest Summer House reunion—has been making a checklist for what she has to do before hitting the ballroom, telling Erin Lim Rhodes during the Live From E! Stream: Met Gala on May 4, “I’ve gotten my butt in the gym because I gotta build my stamina.”
Though Ciara is already looking ahead at life on the ballroom floor, fellow season 35 competitor Maura has the opposite mindset. "I'm not prepping," Maura told E! News April 23, "because people say you're better being, like, a blank canvas. So, if I try and go into dancing, maybe I'm gonna pick up stuff that they have to unteach me, like bad habits.”
And longtime pro Mark Ballas has already given his Traitors costar’s mindset his seal of approval—and believes it may give her a competitive edge.
“I think that's a really smart way to approach Dancing With the Stars,” Mark told E! News on May 1. “Be open-minded, have fun, be a blank slate person.”
And the early cast members have already shared some insight about which pros they want to dance with. The Summer House star revealed that she wants to dance with Val Chmerkovskiy.
“I've been campaigning for Val," Ciara shared during the Live From E! Stream: Met Gala. "I don't know if they hear me, but yeah, sending out some emails, putting my word in. We'll see where everyone wants to place me."
Meanwhile, even before he was officially cast on the show, Jackson was thinking about who he’d like to team up with.
"I would get along with Rylee [Arnold] because I've seen her videos and I feel like that would work,” the baseball player said on the Ali on the Run podcast in December 2025. “But I don't really have a specific one. Whoever they would give me I'd be really cool with."
