Randi Chugerman Joins Amazon MGM Studios As Head Of Series Casting

EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios has tapped Randi Chugerman as Head of Series Casting.

Chugerman, most recently SVP of Talent and Casting and Talent Development at Sony Pictures Television, succeeds Donna Rosenstein, who left in the October Amazon MGM Studios layoffs. She had served as Head of Casting for a decade, most recently focusing on TV series.

Like her predecessor, Chugerman, who starts June 29, will oversee casting for all Amazon MGM Studios scripted series, including drama, comedy and world-building shows. In a chain of command tweak, she will report to Blair Fetter, Head, WorldBuilding Series. (Amazon MGM Studios Global TV head Peter Friedlander is yet to name a head of Comedy and Drama Series.)

Chugerman had been at Sony TV for over a decade, working on dozens of series. The Night Agent creator Shawn Ryan credited her with championing Gabriel Basso, leading to his casting as the show’s titular character.

Before Sony, Chugerman worked in casting at ABC.
