Amanda Bynes Reveals She Lost 28 Pounds With Ozempic
Trisha Paytas is not crying on her kitchen floor over this.
The influencer revealed that she lost 26 pounds in two months after she started using a GLP-1 medication to help curb her appetite and quiet the “food noise” in her head.
“I grew up on fast food and processed foods. I've just always eaten out and always overate. Like, I've never felt full in my life,” Paytas told People in an interview published June 18. “I've talked about this for so long online. After I eat one meal, I already think of the next.”
The 38-year-old—who has often gone viral for her mukbang videos eating food on camera—felt the need for a change when she gained 80 pounds after back-to-back pregnancies with her and husband Moses Hacmon’s children Malibu Barbie, 3, Elvis, 2, and son Aquaman, 11 months. And while she tried to lose weight “the natural way,” she was frustrated when wasn’t seeing results.
“I was starving myself, killing myself in the gym, eating grapefruit for dinner and I just was not losing it,” Paytas recalled. “And I've tried everything else in my life, like all the fad diets, so I was like, 'OK, I should just try a GLP-1 if it's working for so many people.'”
And the decision is one the TikToker feels is “nothing short of miraculous,” as she can still eat all of her favorite foods—like her husband’s spaghetti bolognese—just in smaller portions.

“It's just a wild thing to feel that because I've never felt that sensation of being full,” she added. “It was a miracle. It's really meant for people like me.”
In six weeks, Paytas went from 243 pounds to 217 pounds using the medication Zepbound (other popular brands include Ozempic and Mounjaro). The weight loss meant that she was able to be more active in every part of her life because of how much better she felt overall.
And of course, the Just Trish podcast host is still maintaining an exercise routine alongside her GLP-1 medication.
“I do at least an hour of cardio every day and Pilates,” she said. “I haven't been under 200 pounds in a decade, so that's the numbers goal. But overall, I just want to feel even better.”
As for her ultimate goal? “To do a marathon or something next year,” she added. “That would be amazing.”

For now, Paytas has no plans to stop using the drugs, which help control blood sugar and slow digestion.
“I’ve lived 38 years of my life obsessing about food,” she explained, “it would be nice to live the next 38 just thinking about food a normal amount.”
And the Crying on the Kitchen Floor author knew it was important for her to be candid about her GLP-1 use.
“We see so many people losing weight and kind of denying being on a GLP-1,” she said, “but I just wanna be as transparent as possible so people know why and then other people who have the same issues with food can feel if it's right for them.”
