One injured after 'light' helicopter crash north of Auckland

Emergency services are at the scene of a helicopter crash in Dairy Flat, north of Auckland.

Police said one person received minor injuries and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

The Civil Aviation Authority said the accident involved two people flying a privately owned helicopter.

Police were notified of the crash about 3.45pm on Friday.

Fire and Emergency sent two fire trucks to the scene of what they said was a "light" helicopter crash.

A spokesperson said no one was trapped inside the helicopter when firefighters arrived.
