Kathmandu. The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has canceled the license for internet (including email) services of Simple Media Network Pvt. Ltd., based in Sanepa, Lalitpur, after the company failed to apply for renewal within the given deadline.
Issuing a notice published in Gorkhapatra on Friday, the authority stated that the license was automatically revoked as the company did not submit its renewal application in accordance with regulatory requirements.
According to the notice, Simple Media Network obtained a license to operate internet services (including email) on June 16, 2026. However, as it did not complete the renewal process within the timeframe specified under Section 25(5) of the Telecommunications Act, 2053, the license was automatically canceled on June 17, 2026.
The authority has also directed the company to contact NTA within 30 days regarding any outstanding dues payable to the government or the regulator. It has warned that failure to clear the dues within the specified period will result in further legal action under prevailing laws.
