Thousands of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts are gathering in Cascais this weekend as one of Europe’s largest motorcycle events returns to Portugal.
The 32nd Annual European H.O.G. Rally, which began on Thursday, runs until Sunday and is expected to attract tens of thousands of riders and fans of the iconic American motorcycle brand.
Cascais has previously hosted the event in 2012 and 2019 and once again serves as the backdrop for four days of motorcycle displays, test rides, live music and entertainment.
One of the main attractions is the Harley-Davidson Zone, where visitors can see some of the brand’s best-known models and learn more about the latest developments from the manufacturer. It is open from 10am to 8pm until Saturday, and from 10am to 2pm on Sunday.
Nearby, the HD Expo, located beside the Citadel, showcases Harley-Davidson’s 2026 range. Visitors also have the opportunity to test ride several models, including motorcycles from the Sport, Cruiser, Grand American Touring and Adventure Touring families.
The highlight of the weekend is expected to be Saturday’s traditional motorcycle parade, which sets off from the Estoril Circuit at 11am before winding its way through Alcabideche, Tires, Carcavelos, Parede and Estoril before finishing in Cascais Bay.
The event also features a programme of live music, with concerts taking place on a stage overlooking the waterfront near Hotel Baía.
Friday’s programme includes performances by King Zebra and a Guns N’ Roses tribute band, while Saturday’s line-up features Wood Burnt Red, Red Beds, Closing and a Pearl Jam tribute act.
Entry to the event is free.
