Nico Waje files counter-affidavit vs Athena Imperial’s complaints

Former GMA reporter Nico Waje filed on Friday, June 19, his counter-affidavit in response to the complaints for acts of lasciviousness and gender-based sexual harassment filed against him by his former colleague Athena Imperial.

Waje, who was accompanied by his wife and legal counsel, Atty. Leo Lalusis, submitted his counter-affidavit at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

While Waje’s camp did not give details on his counter-affidavit, Lalusis said there is no truth to Imperial’s claims. The lawyer further noted that Waje is “very ready to answer any allegations against him.”

Lalusis also stated that they have yet to receive a copy of a similar case filed by a separate female complainant.

Imperial lodged the acts of lasciviousness and gender-based sexual harassment complaints against Waje last May 13. The details in the complaint affidavit submitted to prosecutors were not immediately known to the public. /ra
