A man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital following a fall at St Peter’s Pool in Delimara yesterday afternoon.
Civil Protection Department rescue teams from Fire Stations 5 and 10 were dispatched to the popular swimming spot after the individual required medical assistance.
Due to the challenging terrain and limited access to the area, rescuers first immobilised the casualty before transporting them by sea aboard the CPD RHIB Delta 2 rescue vessel.
The individual was taken to a safer location, where further medical assistance was provided before being transferred to Mater Dei Hospital.
The Civil Protection Department thanked the Malta Police Force and the Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital for their assistance during the operation.
No further details on the person’s condition have been released.
