Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan-starrer “Tayo sa Wakas” marked another milestone as it grossed P110 million as of June 19, over three weeks after it premiered in local cinemas.
The feat was also a record for the actors’ teamup, making the Star Cinema romance-drama the pair’s biggest film so far.
After its local success, the movie will also have its screening abroad, particularly in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Macau.

The film, directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, follows the story of a longtime couple who are faced with challenges brought about by their respective ambitions.
“Tayo sa Wakas” premiered last May 27, marking a significant success with P12-million gross sales.
Mariano and Pangilinan confirmed in April that the project would be their final project as an onscreen tandem for now.
“We’ve been working together for quite a while. Since ‘He’s into Her,’ it’s been every year, project after project, and it’s something that we’re very proud of,” Pangilinan said. “We’re grateful that we went through that, which is why we decided this would be the best route for now, and this movie would be perfect for that.” /ra
