
A 21-year-old Czech national suffered grievous injuries after falling while practising paragliding in Ħad-Dingli yesterday evening.
Police said they were informed of the incident at around 6:30pm yesterday after assistance was requested in the area known as the Dingli Cliffs on Triq Panoramika.
Officers went to the scene and found that the Czech national had fallen while taking part in the sport.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were called to assist, with an operation coordinated to recover the man from the cliffside and transport him for medical treatment.
He was later taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
