
CEBU CITY, Philippines — Legacy FC Cebu, Benthel Asia School of Technology (BAST), Giuseppe FC, and the Cebu Football Club (CFC) Academy stood out in their respective divisions during the ongoing Copa Cebu 2026 Football Festival on Saturday, June 20, at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex.
In the Boys 17 category, the BAST Green Lions outlasted Don Bosco Team A, 4-3, in a penalty shootout to claim the championship. Lance Vern Omega was named Most Valuable Player after leading the Green Lions throughout their title run.

Under-11 categories
In the under-7 division, Legacy FC secured the crown with a 1-0 victory over Giuseppe GC in the final. Zeus Gerolada was recognized as Most Valuable Player for his consistent performances across the competition.
Giuseppe FC also emerged victorious in the under-11 category after edging Don Bosco Team A, 2-1, to secure the championship. Yohann Cariquitan earned the Most Valuable Player award after scoring one of the goals in the final.
In the under-9 division, Cebu FC Academy narrowly defeated Sugbo Calidad FC, 4-3, via penalty shootout in a tightly contested final. Matthew Chan, also listed in event notes as Matteo Chan, was named Most Valuable Player for the category.

Organizers said participating teams came from Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, City of Naga, Talisay City, Tacloban City, Davao City, and Iloilo City.
The competition will run until Sunday, June 21.
