Wole Oluyede, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has secured victory at Polling Unit 002, Ward 03, Ugele/Akoru, Ikere Local Government Area of the State.
Oluyede, who is up against incumbent Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 119 votes while the APC followed closely with 113 votes.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) garnered two votes, while the National Rescue Movement (NRM) recorded one vote.
Two ballots were declared void.
A total of 237 voters were accredited to participate in the election out of the 790 registered voters at the polling unit.
Vote sorting and counting were conducted peacefully as electoral officials and party agents monitored the process amid heightened interest in the ongoing 2026 Ekiti State Governorship Election.
