SH1 closed at Hunterville after crash

One person has died after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway One near Hunterville.

Emergency services were called to the crash in Rangitikei shortly after 1pm on Sunday, near the intersection with Vinegar Hill Road - State Highway 54.

Police have confirmed one person has died at the scene, while three others were moderately injured.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
