MANILA – First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos marked Father’s Day on Sunday with a touching tribute to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., expressing gratitude for his dedication as a husband and father while playfully “ordering” him to take a day off.
Sharing her greeting on social media, the First Lady noted that while their children know him as “Pops” and the country addresses him as “Mr. President,” she feels the most blessed to simply call him “mine.”
“Thank you for your strength, your patience, your terrible jokes and your big heart,” she wrote.

She added life has become “sweeter, funnier and far more meaningful” because of their journey together.
Ending her message on a light note, the First Lady issued a mock “executive order” directing the President to rest for the day.
“By virtue of our Executive Order, you are hereby directed to REST today!” she said.
