Cocktail 2 Box Office Collection Day 2 Live Updates: Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic drama Cocktail 2 hit theatres on June 19. While the film received a lukewarm response from viewers and critics, it got off to a strong start at the box office. After collecting Rs 13.5 crore on its opening day, the film earned Rs 16.25 crore on Day 2, taking its domestic net collection to Rs 29.75 crore. In just two days, Cocktail 2 has grossed Rs 50.95 crore worldwide.

Running across 10,245 shows, the film recorded an overall occupancy of 26% on Saturday. The occupancy stood at 13.23% during the morning shows, 31.38% in the afternoon, 34.77% in the evening, and 42.46% during the night shows.

Cocktail 2 has outperformed its predecessor Cocktail at the Indian box office. The 2012 film, written and directed by Imtiaz Ali, had collected Rs 23.18 crore in its first two days in India. This comes despite Cocktail 2 facing competition from the Bobby Deol-starrer Bandar, the Hollywood horror film Obsession, Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaunga, and Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past.

Recently, Kriti Sanon took to Instagram to pen a note on Cocktail 2. It read, “Need all the love and hugs because Fin-Ally its Cocktail2 Day!! Ally, Kunal and Diya are yours.. A post on X page CineHub read, "WATCHED #cocktail2 and it’s a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT The biggest problem with the film is that it feels like it is designed to project #kritisanon as a SUPERSTAR which she is not ! The entire narrative revolves around giving her larger-than-life moments, but the writing never justifies them. Instead of feeling ORGANIC, everything comes across as FORCED and ARTIFICAL just like its Box-office numbers The 1st half is still DECENT and has a few entertaining moments because here I liked the CINEMATOGRAPHY and some scenes are GENUINELY WELL DONE. However 2nd half completely RUINS the film with no Proper Setup, no EMOTIONAL payoff and events keep happening randomly without any impact !! And then the CLIMAX is filled with weak logic and OVERDRAMATIC monologue that feels IRRITATED #shahidkapoor is the biggest LOSER here. He gets one of the POOREST WRITTEN ROLES of his career and hardly gets any opportunity to showcase his ACTING RANGE ! Throughout the film, it feels like he’s only there to support Kriti’s character and make the story revolve around her which is Weird !! While #kritisanon looks stunning and delivers a sincere performance, but the EMOTIONAL DEPTH required to make the character memorable is simply missing as the writing is WEAK. #rashmikamandanna is completely WASTED with very little to do, and her dialogue delivery in HINDI needs to be IMPROVED, please What made the original COCKTAIL special was the emotional connection with its characters, #deepikapadukone 's AURA and SONGS but here you don’t feel invested in anyone as it lacs that core, that character arcs which stays with you after film ends!!
