The days are getting hotter, the sea is calling and everyone’s social media feed is slowly filling up with beach photos.

Summer has officially arrived, and let’s be honest… most Maltese people tend to do the same things the moment temperatures hit 30°C.

1. Complains that it’s too hot

Even though we’ve been waiting for summer since January.

2. Starts posting beach photos every weekend

Suddenly everyone’s Instagram story is just sea, sun and more sea.

3. Switches from hot coffee to iced coffee

For the next three months, ice becomes a mandatory ingredient.

4. Starts sleeping with the AC on full blast

Only to wake up freezing at 3am looking for a blanket wondering what happened.

5. Says “This is nothing, wait until August”

Usually while sweating through their shirt.

6. Plans a Comino trip they’ll never actually take

“This weekend for sure.”

7. Declares it’s officially BBQ season

Every spare evening becomes an excuse to fire up the grill.
