
CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu’s elite kegler Jomar Jumapao delivered a commanding performance to clinch the championship in the Sugbuanon Bowlers United (SUGBU) regular shootout tournament.
Competing in Division A, where top bowlers play without handicap points, Jumapao proved his consistency and precision, topping the field from start to finish.
He fired an impressive 220 pinfalls in the championship round, outdueling Division B standout and former SUGBU shootout champion Vivian Padawan, who finished second with 203 pinfalls despite carrying 33 handicap points. Padawan is also a former “Bowler of the Year” awardee.

Matt Zamora of Division B completed the podium with 161 pinfalls and 30 handicap points.
In the Division A qualifying round, Jumapao set the pace with 873 pinfalls, ahead of Danny Sabang (822) and Mark Hodgkinson (773), all without handicap adjustments.
In Division B, Padawan led the qualifiers with 804 pinfalls, followed by Tessie Dante (790) and David Peña (747). In Division C, Flor Hodgkinson topped the group with 640 pinfalls, while Zamora posted 613 and Martin Villar Sr. had 607.
