A man has died after an electric scooter crash in central Christchurch in the early hours of Sunday.
The scooter rider was transported to hospital but died later of his injuries.
Police did not believe another vehicle was involved in the crash but their inquiries were continuing, they said.
The incident occurred about 12.10am on Sunday 21 June in Antigua Street, near its intersection with Burke Street.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the Antigua Street and Burke Street areas at the time of the crash, or who may have CCTV footage from the area.
The man was wearing a light-coloured jacket over a New Zealand Warriors top, blue jeans, and sneakers.
Police have asked anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area to check it to see if it can help their inquiries.
