The 17 Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have received matching orders to put an end to robbery activities in Abuja within two weeks.
The Commissioner of Police FCT Command, Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, gave the order weekend during a meeting with the 17 DPOs under his command in Abuja.
According to him, the directive was meant to assess the current state of security and bolster operational plans to deal with new security risks in the command.
He said that growing security issues in the various Area Commands, such as traffic robberies, car snatching, the one-chance “robbery” threat, and drivers travelling in “one-way,” made the order imperative.
