Opera enthusiasts are being invited to save the date for a special charity performance at Faro’s historic Teatro Lethes this autumn.
The Rotary Club Estoi Palace International has announced an “exceptional opera evening” featuring internationally acclaimed Swiss baritone Äneas Humm on September 26.
Following the success of his previous performance in 2025, Humm will return to the stage of Teatro Lethes, Portugal’s second-oldest theatre.
Known for his expressive performances and commanding stage presence, Humm has appeared at leading European venues in Amsterdam, Bremen and Venice, and regularly performs as a guest soloist with major orchestras across the continent.
The programme will feature works by composers including Jules Massenet, Richard Wagner, Antonín Dvořák and Richard Strauss, accompanied on piano by Doriana Tchakarova.
Organisers say the concert has been designed to appeal to both seasoned opera lovers and those new to the genre.
All proceeds from the event will support the Rotary Club Estoi Palace International’s educational and social initiatives in the local community.
Ticket details and further programme information will be announced in the coming weeks.
