
CEBU CITY, Philippines — A dramatic Sunday slate in the ongoing Cebu Architects Basketball Club (CABC) 8th Corporate Cup reshaped the standings and produced a four-way tie at the top on June 21 at Game Changer in Mandaue City.
Landlite, Boysen Paints, SR & T Industrial Supply, and EZ Pavers all emerged from the weekend with identical 3-1 records, underscoring the parity and competitiveness of this season’s tournament.
The biggest shake-up came when Landlite handed previously unbeaten Boysen Paints its first loss of the season, prevailing 97-88.

Landlite capitalized on a depleted Boysen lineup that suited up only eight players and steadily took control to hand the erstwhile league leaders their first setback in four games.
Melvin Austria paced Landlite with 24 points, six rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Jay Devenadera added 18 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and a block, while Joseph Layar, Khey Loo, and Ian Ed Lapina chipped in 16, 15, and 10 points, respectively.
Despite the loss, Boysen received strong performances from Lemuel Aspacio, who finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and a steal. Edilberto Sanchez and Reddick Palmitos contributed 19 and 18 points, respectively.
The result opened the door for the chasing teams to catch Boysen in the standings.
SR & T Industrial Supply took full advantage, grinding out a 92-84 victory over Corr Chem to improve to 3-1 and join the crowded race atop the table.
Philip Bryan Alegado led SR & T with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal, while Criz Matunog added 18 points and seven rebounds.
Corr Chem, which dropped to 1-3, continued to battle roster limitations after fielding only six players. Denish Arquillano posted an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double, while Miguel Cenabre poured in 20 points in the losing effort.

EZ Pavers then completed the four-way tie by outlasting The Peralta Design Services-Elite Athletics, 101-94, in a high-scoring affair.
Mark Bajenting delivered the performance of the night, erupting for 33 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, three steals, and three blocks. Francis Regis and Zach Elisha Go added 21 points apiece, while Aaron Yang contributed 14 markers.
The Peralta Design Services-Elite Athletics, however, did not go down without a fight. Kimboy Marilao registered 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Kiro Canillo matched him with a 25-point, 12-rebound double-double. Joefar Gerundio also recorded a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Despite the trio’s combined production, The Peralta Design Services-Elite Athletics remained winless at 0-4, while EZ Pavers climbed into a share of first place.
