The heatwave emergency is growing in
Italy, and there's a surge in Italian cities on red alert:
today, 12 cities, compared to the 8 previously forecast, are at
the highest level of heat risk for the population, as indicated
in the Ministry of Health's heatwave bulletin, which covers 27
urban centers.
And tomorrow, the number of "red" cities will rise further to
15, and then rise again to 16 on Wednesday.
The urban centers on red alert today are Bologna, Bolzano,
Brescia, Florence, Frosinone, Milan, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti,
Rome, Turin, and Verona.
They will be joined by Venice, Viterbo, and Ancona Tuesday, and
Latina on Wednesday
