Guests arriving at the Algarve’s Pine Cliffs Resort, in Albufeira, can now enjoy a taste of Portugal from the moment they step into the lobby, following the opening of the new MIMO Café.
Located inside the Pine Cliffs Hotel, the café aims to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional Portuguese neighbourhood coffee shop, combining classic flavours with a contemporary setting.
At the heart of the menu is the iconic pastel de nata, served throughout the day alongside Lavazza coffee, premium teas and a selection of freshly-made Portuguese pastries.
Customers can also choose from favourites including bolo de arroz, pastel de feijão, mil-folhas and jesuítas, bringing together some of Portugal’s best-loved sweet treats.
The café’s design draws inspiration from the country’s traditional cafés while adapting the concept to the resort’s modern surroundings. Operating under the slogan “The true taste of Portugal”, MIMO says the concept focuses on simplicity, quality and authentic national flavours.
The opening marks the latest expansion of the MIMO brand, developed by United Hospitality Management (UHM), which already operates internationally.
The concept is currently present in Kuwait at the Arabella Beach Hotel, Vignette Collection by IHG, and in the United Arab Emirates, with locations at Wyndham Residences The Palm and Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, Vignette Collection.
Open daily, MIMO Café is designed as a relaxed meeting point for guests, whether for a morning coffee and pastel de nata, a light snack during the day or a leisurely break in the hotel lobby.
The brand is also preparing to expand further in Portugal this summer, with new openings planned at the Hyatt Regency Lisbon and Sheraton Cascais Resort.
