The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has dismissed reports that it sold 69 nomination forms to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Vice Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
Chairman of the party’s Northwest Stakeholders Forum, Abdulkadir Musa Guza, on Sunday alleged that Kwankwaso had purchased all PRP nominations forms to “hijack” the party and sponsor his loyalists on the party’s platform.
However, PRP State Secretary, Alhaji Musa Maigari, in a press briefing on Monday in Kano, said all positions in PRP had been filled and that primary elections had been concluded.
The Secretary said the person behind the allegation has no link to PRP and cannot speak on behalf of the party.

“The man who raised these allegations is not even our member. It is laughable at this time when primaries are over, someone is talking about primaries or nomination forms,” Maigari said.
He insisted that there was no record of any form of transaction with Kwankwaso or his representatives at the party Secretariat.
Maigatari noted that the claim appeared ill-timed, coming after PRP had already concluded its primary elections for the next election cycle.
The party scribe urged members of the public to disregard “baseless rumors” and rely only on information from the party’s official channels.
